CONVINCING WIN OF MEGA FOR THE END OF ABA LEAGUE

Players of Mega Leks managed to win at the finish this season in the ABA league as in the great atmosphere in the hall PSC Pinki in Sremska Mitrovica mastered Karpos Sokoli with 82:69 (15:20, 25:22, 22:18, 20:19). Players of coach Dejan Milojevic with a series of 19:2 at the end of the third and beginning of the last quarter came to the lead, after which Karpos failed to jeopardize win of Mega Leks. Coach of Mega in this match because of injury could not count on Vlatko Cancar and Ognjen Carapic while because of a stomach virus also didn’t played Marko Tejic.

Best in the ranks of Mega Leks were Spasojevic with 20 points and 8 rebounds and Zagorac with 19 points and 9 rebounds, while in Karpos the best was Trajkovski with 17 points. With this victory Mega is at score 11-15 and will, depending on the other results in this round, finally may take 6th place.

Dejan Milojevic started the match with the following five: Novak, Mushidi, Zagorac, Spasojevic and Kaba. Mega opened match with points in the paint of Kaba and three ov Novak. A series of threes on both sides, the score in the middle of quarter is 12:10. Karpos tied 8 points and came to plus 6, but the first quarter ended with great drive of Rebic for 15:20.

The second quarter started good Spasojevic and Glogovac with points in the paint. Mega with points of Zagorac came to plus 4, but neither team managed to gain a significant advantage. Novak in the finish hit three pointer for 40:40, but in the last seconds Perry score layup for 40:42 at the break.

After tied the game early in the second half and the lead 48:44, Karpos with series points came to 50:58 after 27 minutes. The series breaks Zagorac with three, Mushidi scores and then assists to Simeunovic, ant then with a three of Novak Novak and Zagorac points after offensive rebound, Mega ended the third period with 62:60.

In the last quarter Kaba and Zagorac prolong series of Mega to 69:60. Trajkovski hit three but Simeunovic after another offensive rebound excellent assisted to Novak for 73:63. Point to victory puts Mushidi with difficult drive for 2 plus 1 and 78:66 with 3 minutes until the end, after which Karpos could not jeopardize the victory of Mega, which is celebrated with 82:69.
