MEGA BEMAX WITHOUT REVERSAL IN FINALS, BITADZE AND MISKOVIC IN ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM

Juniors of Mega Bemax failed to win a Qualification tournamet of junior Euroleague in Belgrade since they in the hall FMP in Zeleznik lost in the finals to Crvena zvezda mts with 74:61 (28:8, 17:17, 13:21, 16:15). With the defeat in the finals juniors of Mega missed the chance to book a ticket for the final tournament which will be held during the Final Four in Istanbul from 18th to 21st of May.

Juniors of Mega had extremely bad start the match so already after the first quarter were trailing by 20 points and minus grew up to 29 points midway through the second quarter. Players of coach Vlada Vukoicic did not give up, they managed to reduce minus before half-time and with an excellent game in the third quarter, reduced it more to only 8 points at 13 minutes left in the game. However, on several occasions, players of Mege failed to resolve the match in their favor so at the end Crvena zvezda won.

Best in the ranks of Mega Bemax were Goga Bitadze with 21 points and 18 rebounds (index 31), while Miskovic and Drobnjak reached 11 points.

The two players of Mega Bemax were chosen the All-Tournament team of Euroleague adidas Next Generation Tournament “Marko Ivkovic” 2017, as Goga Bitadze and Nikola Miskovic were chosen. Bitadze with 27 minutes on average on the court, averaged 16.5 points, 12 rebounds, 2.8 blocks with PIR of 26.8, while Miskovic had 16.5 points and 7 rebounds per game.

Before the start of the final match was held competition in shooting threes and dunks. Representative of Mega in threes was Luka Cerovina who in the first round scored 18 points and advance to the final, where he repeated the result but with one point escaped title with a shot in the last second of Maccabi player Amit Ebo.

At the competition in dunks Mega was represented by Amar Mehic who with assists with the ball against the backboard very effectively dunked but failed to reach the finals.
