“WIN AGAINST CIBONA WOULD HAVE MEANT A LOT FOR US”

On Saturday, 14th of November from 7 PM Mega Leks welcomes in Sremska Mitrovica Cibona Zagreb within the match of the 10th round of ABA league. Last week in Zagreb in a match against Cedevita Mega Leks ended series of 5 consecutive victories Mege with lose 78:68 while Cibona won away against Sutjeska with 68:80. Mega will play in the rest of the season without Predrag Samardziski who earlier this week joined the turkish club Buyukcekmece. Neither in this match will play Rade Zagorac while return Alpha Kaba expected in the match with Olimpija.

Coach of Mega Leks Dejan Milojevic believes in his team:

“I would like to thank Samardziski for everything and to wish him luck in his new club. Although it has recovered from injury, Kaba will not play in this game as by the recovery plan he should be back in the game against Olimpija in the next round. Cibona completed the team and picked up a form before this game. We can expect a tough match but I believe in our team and that we can achieve victory”.

Mega Leks after 9 rounds is at the third place in the league with 6 wins and 3 defeats while Cibona shares 6th place with a score of 4-5. In ABA league Mega so far played 4 matches against Cibona and both teams have recorded 2 wins at home. The last meeting was played in the 16th round of last season when Cibona won by 84:80

Aleksandar Aranitovic emphasizes the importance of the match against Cibona:

“Pedja Samardžiski left to Turkey it is certain that we will miss him the game but it should not disturb us and I believe that we will be able to compensate that on the court. We are very young team, but we showed that we know how to play well and bravely in the most important moments. We need to correct the mistakes from the match with Cedevita and to continue to grow as a team”,

Aranitovic said and continued:

“Cibona has a very good team composed of several young but also a significant number of experienced players. Florence showed that he isgreat fit in the team, Siriscevic returned from injury and it is certain that their last victory raised ambitions. We have fully prepared to enter this game with aggressive defense which we showed it this season,  so i believe that it would lead us to victory which would have meant a lot for us”,

finished Aranitovic.
