MEGA MIS TRAVELED TO PODGORICA FOR ABA SUPER CUP

Mega MIS  traveled to Podgorica, where they will compete in the ABA Super Cup from September 18 to 20 in SC Moraca, and the first opponent in the quarterfinals on Monday at 3 p.m. will be the Partizan Mozzart Bet. Marko Barac’s team will certainly play three games in three days, and depending on the results, Mega’s opponent on Tuesday will be someone from the Cedevita Olimpija – Igokea m:tel match.

Mega MIS coach Marko Barac pointed out before the start of the ABA Super Cup that his young team will face a big test, but also a great satisfaction:

“We are entering the final part of the preparations before the start of the season in the ABA league. Three extremely strong and good tests await us at the ABA Super Cup, the first against Partizan as the current champion of the regional competition, the quality of which is perhaps redundant to talk about. They had an outstanding season, managed to keep a good part of the team and I believe that this will be a big test for our young team, but also a great satisfaction. The very concept of the ABA Super Cup in Podgorica is excellent and I am glad that this competition is back after a few years of break. It will be in one place eight teams, each of which will play three games in three days, and accordingly, I believe that there will be enough space for my players to show what level they are currently at as a team and individually before the start of the ABA league”.

Mega’ captain Uros Plavsic said that the ABA Super Cup will be a great experience before the start of the season:

“The preparatory period went well for us, considering that a new group of guys gathered, we all united and fulfilled the tasks that the coach set before us. Partizan is waiting for us as the first opponent in the Super Cup, which has a very high-quality team that has been strengthened in all positions. We know what to expect from them and we will try to face them as best as possible. The continuation of the Super Cup and the other opponents depend on that first meeting, but I think that for our very young team it will certainly be a great experience before the beginning season”.

After the ABA Super Cup, Mega will have a control match against Tamis on September 23, and in the first round of the ABA League, they will play against Cedevita Olimpija in Ljubljana.
