MEGA SUPER U17 TEAM FALLS IN UNUSUAL FINAL OF THE FINAL TOURNAMENT
Mega Super’s U17 team failed to defend its title in the Triglav Serbian Cadet League, falling to Dinamik 88–97 (27:21, 21:29, 21:21, 19:26) in the Final Tournament championship game. The final, played at FMP Arena, unfolded over two days after Monday’s game was interrupted by a power outage midway through the fourth quarter. The contest resumed on Tuesday at 13:00, but Mega was unable to seize control in the closing stages, allowing Dinamik to secure the title.
Lun Jarc led Lazar Jovičić’s side with 33 points and 10 rebounds (PIR 38). He was followed by Petar Bjelica, who added 23 points and eight rebounds (PIR 25), while Vuk Stepanović recorded 10 points and 11 assists. Mak Omerović contributed 14 points along with eight assists.
Bjelica finished as the tournament’s top scorer and was named to the All-Tournament Team, while also receiving the Fair Play award as voted by the coaches.
This marks the fourth time Mega Super’s U17 team has fallen short in the domestic championship final, having previously won the title five times.
