MEGA SUPERBET FALLS JUST SHORT OF BIG COMEBACK IN ŽELEZNIK

Mega Superbet failed to bring the Serbian League quarterfinal series back to its home court, losing to FMP SoccerBet 99-95 (31-27, 21-13, 24-22, 23-33) in Železnik. With the defeat, Mega ended both its domestic playoff run and the 2025/26 season. Coached by Vule Avdalović, Mega opened the game well but found itself trailing by double digits midway through the second quarter. The visitors managed to cut the deficit in the third period, only for FMP to pull away again. Mega kept fighting until the very end, trimming the gap to just two points late in the game, but ran out of time to complete the comeback.

Bogoljub Marković led Mega with 32 points, six rebounds, and six assists for a PIR of 35. Savo Drezgić followed with 24 points (PIR 23), while Abdramane Sibi added 15 points and nine rebounds (PIR 22). Andrej Mušicki contributed nine points.

For FMP, Filip Barna scored 26 points, Josh Scott added 18, Dušan Radosavljević finished with 14, while Filip Rebrača and Lazar Stefanović chipped in with 13 points apiece.

Mega started the game strongly in Železnik, but from the opening tip the contest was highly competitive, with both teams exchanging the lead. FMP created some separation late in the first quarter, though Marković and Mušicki helped Mega cut the deficit to 31-27 after 10 minutes. The home side then built a double-digit lead in the second quarter and carried a 52-40 advantage into halftime.

After the break, Mega reduced the margin to single digits, but FMP once again pulled away and entered the final quarter ahead 76-62. Avdalović’s team refused to surrender, steadily cutting into the deficit before coming within two points in the final minute. However, on the next possession, FMP secured an offensive rebound and earned two free throws. With only seconds remaining, the home side converted from the line and sealed the win.
