MEGA SUPERBET FOUGHT UNTIL THE FINAL MOMENT, BUT LOST TO FMP IN A TENSE FINISH

Mega Superbet were unable to secure a win in Round 6 of the ABA League Play-Out phase, as they were defeated by FMP from Železnik in the Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall, 79–84 (19–26, 25–18, 16–11, 19–29), after a hard-fought battle. Coached by Vule Avdalović, Mega trailed after the opening 10 minutes, then turned the game around in the second quarter, heading into halftime tied. They built a lead in the third quarter, but another momentum shift occurred midway through the fourth. The game remained highly competitive until the final second, with every possession contested, but Mega were unable to regain the lead and ultimately suffered a loss. After 22 games played, Mega Superbet holds a 9–13 record and currently sits second in the Play-Out standings, while FMP has the same number of wins but one game fewer (9–12).

The top performer for Mega Superbet was Bogoljub Marković with 16 points and eight rebounds. Urban Kroflič added 15 points, while Jordan Davis and returning Nikola Đurišić scored 11 each. Savo Drezgić also reached double figures with 10 points.

For FMP, Filip Barna and Lazar Stefanović each scored 21 points, while Josh Scott added 20.

The visitors opened the game better, taking a 7–0 lead, but Mega responded immediately with the same run to tie the score. The teams traded baskets in the following minutes, but FMP closed the first quarter stronger, giving Avdalović’s team a 19–26 deficit after 10 minutes. The visitors maintained their lead until midway through the second quarter, when Mega turned things around thanks to three-pointers by Kroflič and Davis to go up 36–31. The battle continued, and FMP managed to tie the game in the final seconds of the half, sending the teams into the break at 44–44.

After returning to the court, Mega went on a 7–0 run and quickly built a double-digit lead (56–46). The opponent cut the deficit to three, but Avdalović’s team held on and entered the final quarter with a 60–55 advantage. As expected, the decisive period brought intense competition. Mega held on until midway through the fourth quarter, when FMP completed another comeback (66–67). FMP managed to extend their lead, but Mega refused to give up, cutting the deficit to two after a three-pointer by Drezgić. However, they lacked a bit of luck in the closing moments, and the visitors ultimately took the win.

In the next round of the ABA League Play-Out phase, Mega Superbet will host Krka, with the game scheduled for Monday, April 6 at 19:00 in the Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall.
