MEGA SUPERBET CLAIMED A CRUCIAL COMEBACK WIN IN LJUBLJANA!

Mega Superbet recorded a new victory in the ABA League, defeating Perspektiva Ilirija away from home in Ljubljana in Round 16 by a score of 86–77 (20:27, 23:24, 17:16, 26:10). Vule Avdalović’s team trailed after the opening 10 minutes, failed to cut the deficit before halftime, but also did not allow the hosts to fully pull away. Ilirija kept the lead until the final quarter, when a major comeback followed. Mega went on a big run down the stretch and secured a very important win at Tivoli Hall. After their second victory over Ilirija this season, Mega Superbet now stands at 5–9, while the Slovenian side suffered their 11th loss (3–11).

Bogoljub Marković led Mega with a double-double of 19 points and 13 rebounds (index rating 32), while Urban Kroflič added 19 points and four assists. Asim Đulović scored 11 points, and Savo Drezgić finished with 10 points and eight rebounds.

For Ilirija, Tim Tomažič was the top scorer with 18 points, Edo Murić added 15, and Luka Kureš chipped in 13.

Mega started well and took a 5–0 lead, but the hosts responded quickly. Ilirija went on a big run and moved ahead 17–8 midway through the quarter. Avdalović’s players reacted well and cut the deficit to just three points, but the hosts closed the opening period strong and went into the break leading 27–20. After returning to the floor, Ilirija stretched the margin into double digits. Marković briefly reduced Mega’s deficit, but the home team remained in control and built a 15-point lead. Mega prevented Ilirija from pulling away further, as Kroflič and Srzentić hit key three-pointers in the final minutes of the first half, making it 51–43 for the Ljubljana side at halftime.

The break suited Mega, who opened the second half with a 10–2 run to tie the game at 53–53. A hard-fought battle followed, but Ilirija finished the third quarter better and entered the final period up 67–60. Mega continued to apply pressure and gradually completed the comeback. Srzentić and Kroflič hit back-to-back threes to make it 75–74 with four and a half minutes remaining. Avdalović’s team then went on a 12–3 run to take control and calmly protected the lead in the closing moments to seal a big win in Ljubljana.
