MEGA SUPERBET VISITS ILIRIJA IN LJUBLJANA, AVDALOVIĆ: A CHANCE TO SHOW CHARACTER AND RETURN TO THE LEVEL WE WANT TO BE AT

In the 16th round of the ABA League, Mega Superbet’s basketball team will play away against Perspektiva Ilirija in Ljubljana. The game is scheduled for Saturday, January 24, at 7:00 PM in the small Tivoli Hall, with a live broadcast on TV Arena Sport.

Mega Superbet head coach Vule Avdalović shared his expectations ahead of the clash in Slovenia:

– We’re expecting a very important game in Ljubljana against Ilirija. They have several experienced players and, with Boban Marjanović, they represent a big challenge for us. We’re coming off a few tough games and have had a lot of ups and downs in our play, especially on defense. That’s why it’s crucial that we impose our rhythm from the first minute, be solid defensively, and aggressive on offense. This is an important game for us in the fight for our position in the standings, but above all it’s an opportunity to show character and return to the level we want to be at. We’re going in fully focused and ready to give our all,

said Avdalović.

Expectations ahead of the game in Slovenia were also shared by Mega Superbet first-team player Urban Kroflič:

– This will be a challenging road game for us. We need to show character and give our maximum in order to secure a win. A potential victory would be very important for us, so I believe we will play a good game,

said Kroflič.

In the first part of the season, Mega Superbet defeated Perspektiva Ilirija at home 109–83 at the Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall, and they currently sit in eighth place in Group B with a 4–9 record. The Slovenian team is ninth with a 3–10 record.
