MEGA SUPERBET DEFEATED IN SARAJEVO

The basketball players of Mega Superbet were defeated by Bosna BH Telecom in Sarajevo in the 15th round of the ABA League, losing 83–94 (17–27, 18–33, 15–15, 23–19). Vule Avdalović’s team started the game slowly, found themselves in double-digit deficit after just 10 minutes, and went into halftime with a large gap. They responded well after returning to the court and cut the difference in half, and in the decisive quarter reduced the deficit to single digits. However, they lacked the strength for a full comeback and ultimately suffered a defeat. Mega Superbet now stands at 4–9 in Group B, while Bosna improved their record to 7–6.

The best performers for Mega Superbet were Bogoljub Marković with a double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds (index 21), Asim Đulović with 18 points, and Savo Drezgić with 15 points, five rebounds, and four assists. They were followed by Luigi Suigo with 11 points, and Kajrel Luk and Urban Kroflič with 10 points each.

For Bosna, Alfonso Plummer led the way with 24 points. Michael Young, Jerod West, and Petar Kovačević each added 13 points, while Janari Jõesaar scored 10.

Mega opened the game poorly, as Bosna built an early 12–2 lead after just a few minutes. Avdalović’s players responded with five consecutive points, and after a three-pointer by Marković closed the gap to 10–18. However, the inspired home team pulled away again and led 27–17 after the first 10 minutes. Mega struggled to find its rhythm even after returning to the court, as Bosna continued to extend the lead, going up by more than 20 points. At halftime, Mega faced a large deficit of 35–60.

A reaction followed after the break. Avdalović’s team finally found its offensive rhythm and gradually chipped away at the deficit, cutting it to 11 points. Still, the home side held firm and entered the final period with a 75–60 lead. Mega continued to play well on both ends of the floor and reduced the deficit to single digits, but did not have enough strength to get any closer and fully rejoin the contest. Bosna preserved the advantage and secured the victory.

In the next round of the ABA League, Mega Superbet will visit Ilirija, with the game scheduled for Saturday, January 24, at 7:00 PM.
