MEGA SUPERBET JUNIORS CLAIM FIRST WIN AT THE U19 ABA QUALIFICATION TOURNAMENT

Mega Superbet’s juniors defeated Ilirija 96–81 in the opening game of the U19 ABA League qualification tournament. Dejan Pejić’s team held the lead from the very start. With four minutes left in the game, the Slovenian team cut the deficit to just one point, but could not get any closer. Mega responded with a 10–0 run and scored a total of 19 points by the end of the match, while Ilirija managed only five.

As many as five players on the winning side scored in double figures. Pavle Bačko posted 21 points and 11 rebounds. Ognjen Srzentić added 20 points along with an impressive 17 rebounds. Nikola Karalić recorded 18 points and 11 rebounds, Andrej Lučić contributed 14, and Vuk Danilović finished with 12. In the losing team, Bine Gabrijel stood out with 24 points.

Mega’s next game will be on Saturday at 3 p.m. against Spartak Office Shoes. The third game of Pejić’s team at the qualification tournament will be played on Sunday, also at 3 p.m., against Split.
