MEGA SUPERBET FALLS TO BUDUĆNOST

Mega Superbet suffered a defeat in Round 8 of the ABA League, losing to Budućnost Podgorica 65:98 (16:19, 18:32, 10:21, 21:26) at the Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall. Vule Avdalović’s team held their own against the more experienced opponent in the opening quarter, but the visitors began to pull away in the second, and built a decisive lead in the third before closing out the game convincingly. After seven games played, Mega Superbet holds a 2–5 record, while Budućnost stands at 6–2.

For Mega Superbet, Bogoljub Marković stood out with 18 points and nine rebounds. Asim Đulović added 14 points, and Savo Drezgić scored 11.

Budućnost was led by Oleksandr Kovliiar with 14 points, while Nikola Tanasković contributed 13. Rashad Sulaimon, Skylar Mays, and Yogi Ferrell each scored 12.

Mega opened the game well, taking a 7:0 lead and maintaining an advantage until the final two minutes of the first quarter, when the visitors completed a comeback. Podgorica’s team then took control in the second period and built a double-digit lead. Avdalović’s players attempted to respond in the third quarter, but the more experienced Budućnost resisted all of Mega’s runs and further extended the margin heading into the final break. Mega fought until the end but could not close the gap, suffering their first home loss of the new season.

An international break follows due to the start of World Cup qualifiers, so Mega Superbet’s next game will be on December 6, when they visit Spartak in Subotica in Round 9 of the ABA League.
