MEGA SUPERBET JUNIORS TRAVEL TO PRESTIGIOUS “BORDER LEAGUE” TOURNAMENT IN LAS VEGAS
The junior team of Mega Superbet has traveled to the prestigious high school tournament “Border League” in Las Vegas, which will be held from October 3 to 5.
Mega’s general manager, Goran Ćakić, emphasizes the significance of the club becoming the first team from outside the United States to participate in this prestigious tournament:
“Our U19 team’s participation in the Las Vegas tournament is another major recognition for our club. The very fact that we are the first team from outside the U.S. to take part in this tournament, as well as the fact that games will be broadcast by ESPN and NBA TV and attended live by 200 colleges and all NBA teams, speaks volumes about the tournament’s caliber. Our goal is to test ourselves against our peers and present ourselves in the best possible light against the top American high school teams.”
Mega’s squad for the Las Vegas tournament will include the following players: Andrej Lučić, Pavle Bačko, Ognjen Gujić, Vukašin Mušikić, Vuk Danilović, Aleksa Stiković, Ognjen Srzentić, Abdramane Siby, Nikola Karalić, Andrej Pavlović, Benjamin Teletović, and Marko Savić.
“After successfully qualifying for the national junior league, we now face an exciting weekend in Las Vegas. Just receiving an invitation to play in a tournament featuring the best American high school teams says a lot. We expect challenging and atypical games and will do our best to represent the club in the best possible way,” said Mega junior team coach Dejan Pejić.
Mega juniors will play their first game at the tournament on October 3 at 9:30 PM local time against Dream City Christian School. The following day, at 11:30 AM local time, Dejan Pejić’s team will face Prolific Prep and this game will be broadcast on NBA TV. The final game will be played on October 5 at 11:00 AM local time against RWE.
The Border League was founded in 2020, and in its sixth edition, it will gather over 200 male and female players from a variety of public and private high schools.
