BANJICA MEGA’S PIONEERS FINISH THIRD AT THE SERBIAN CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL TOURNAMENT
Banjica Mega’s pioneers secured third place at the Final Eight tournament of the Serbian Championship after defeating BKK Radnički 91–77 (22:13, 19:26, 19:22, 31:16) in the third-place match. Coach Uroš Matić’s team built a nine-point lead in the opening quarter but saw their advantage slip away before the final period. However, they delivered an outstanding performance in the fourth quarter to seal a well-deserved victory.
The standout player of the game was Marko Avdalović, who posted a double-double with 16 points and an impressive 24 rebounds. He also recorded five assists and three steals, finishing with a game-high performance index rating of 37. The team’s top scorer was Aleksandar Savić with 24 points and 5 rebounds, while Filip Mrđen added 23 points. They were supported by Andrija Terzić with 15 points and Novak Antić with 11.
To recap, Banjica Mega’s pioneers finished second in the regular season of the Quality League (18–4), topped their semifinal group with a perfect 3–0 record, beat Trijumf in the quarterfinals of the Final Eight, fell to Crvena zvezda in the semifinals, and ultimately claimed third place.
