MEGA MIS JUNIORS SECURE SPOT AT U19 ABA LEAGUE FINAL TOURNAMENT WITH WIN OVER BORAC
The Mega MIS juniors will participate in this season’s U19 ABA League final tournament after defeating Borac Mozzart 92:73 (20:9, 24:23, 29:20, 19:21) in their final group stage game at the FMP Arena, finishing the first phase of the competition with a perfect record. Coach Milan Vidosavljević’s team set the pace in the first quarter, building a double-digit lead, and finally broke the resistance of their opponents in the third quarter. They entered the final 10 minutes with a 21-point advantage, which Borac was unable to overcome.
The best player for Mega MIS in this decisive match was Ognjen Srzentić, who scored 24 points, added six assists, and stole four balls (performance index 32). He was followed by Nikola Karalić with 23 points. Urban Kroflič recorded another double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds, while Pavle Bačko narrowly missed a double-double, finishing with 10 points and nine rebounds.
With this victory, Mega MIS advanced to the semifinals as the winner of Group A with a perfect 3-0 record. Borac remained with one win (1-2), Cedevita Junior finished second with a 2-1 record, and Krka was winless (0-3). It is worth noting that Mega MIS set a U19 ABA League record when they scored a historic 129 points against Krka.
