MEGA MIS WELCOMES FMP IN THE SEMI-FINALS OF THE SERBIAN SUPER LEAGUE, BARAĆ: “LET’S FIGHT FROM THE FIRST TO THE LAST MINUTE AND PROVIDE THE STRONGEST POSSIBLE RESISTANCE”

By winning first place in Group B, the Mega MIS basketball players secured a place in the semi-finals of the Serbian Super League playoffs, where they will meet FMP in a best-of-three series. The first match on the program is on Sunday, June 4, from 6:00 pm, and Mega is the host in the Mega Factory Hall. Entry is free, and gates will be open from 5:00 pm.

After the 5-1 score in the group with the Borac Mozzart, Vojvodina, and Metalac teams, coach Marko Barać pointed out that another goal was achieved by reaching the semi-finals and that his chosen ones will fight until the last moment to make an additional step forward:

– After the Aba League playoffs and the Radivoj Korac Cup final, by taking first place in the group, we fulfilled another competitive goal this season. We achieved all this with very young players who justified their talent and began to turn it into quality. We will try to speed up the adaptation of several juniors to senior basketball to be equally successful next season. In such a rejuvenated composition, we want to fight from the first to the last minute and offer the most vigorous possible resistance to the FMP team,

Barać said.

Captain Luka Cerovina respects the opponent but wants to win at the start of the semi-final series:

– An essential match against the FMP team awaits us. Both teams have changed their rosters compared to the beginning of the season, but regardless of that, they certainly have excellent quality. We want to start this series with a win and thus take the first step towards reaching the finals,

Cerovina added.

This season, Mega MIS met the FMP team three times, and after losing in the first meeting within the ABA league (76:90), tied triumphs in the regional competition (77:72), as well as in the semi-finals of the Radivoj Korac Cup (86:67 ).

The second game of the semi-final series is played in Železnik and is scheduled for Wednesday, June 7, from 18:00, while the eventual third will also take place in the Mega Factory hall on Friday, June 9. The team that achieves two triumphs will meet in the final with the Crvena Zvezda team, and the final series will start on June 10 or 12.
