Marko Barac’s team coped well with Dusko Ivanovic’s Euroleague team in the first half. Still, in the third quarter, Zvezda took a clear advantage. The Mega MIS basketball players did not give up, so they caught up with the result in the middle of the decisive period and came within six points of the deficit. Nevertheless, the Serbian and regional champion managed to repel the rush of Barac’s young team and register a triumph. Thus, Zvezda improved its performance to 19-3, while Mega MIS, after 24 rounds, has a 12-12 score.

Mega MIS coach Marko Barać expressed his impressions after the match:

– I congratulate Zvezda on the well-deserved victory. Evidently, we did not enter this match in the right way, primarily energetically. The first few misses under our basket were picked up by Crvena Zvezda, which is unacceptable when playing against such an opponent. They succeeded in what they are the best in the league, scoring after the opponent’s turnovers. In the first half, they managed to run a lot of counterattacks to score many easy points, especially after a period where we managed to establish a rhythm and move to two possessions behind. It went into halftime with a big difference, and I asked the players for a completely different approach in the second half, and I think we succeeded in that,

He also referred to personnel problems in the team:

– There are also objective reasons why the first half was the way it was. We have certain personnel problems. Aleksa Uskoković had an intervention, and I wish him a speedy recovery. The other players, after a great emotional and physical discharge, after a series of victories, experienced certain health problems. Many were out of the training process. We felt that in preparation for this match. I said in the announcement of this match that we would try to prepare in the best possible way. , in most of the training sessions, we did not have enough players to do a good job and did not succeed.
