STUNNING DISPLAY OF MEGA MIS IN ZAGREB AND 106-POINT WIN AGAINST CIBONA

Mega MIS basketball players played their best match of the season and defeated Cibona in the middle of Zagreb 106:72 (28:18, 30:19, 29:13, 22:19). Marko Barać’s team continued their great performances and recorded their fourth consecutive victory. That the host could experience a debacle could be sensed already at the start after Mega’s 10:0 opening. Barac’s team maintained a double-digit advantage until the middle of the second quarter and then went to +21. In the third part, it soon became clear that Mega would celebrate more than convincingly. In the end, the seventh triumph of Mega MIS in the 17th round of the regional championship (7-10) was very important in the fight for the playoffs, while Cibona suffered its 11th defeat (6-11).

Several players played fantastic games and led Marko Barac’s team to victory. Matej Rudan recorded 21 points and five rebounds without a miss from the field (6/6 for two and 1/1 for three) and ended the match with the highest PIR of 32. Malcolm Cazalon was just one step behind him, who, in addition to 19 points, had seven assists and five rebounds for a PIR of 31. Danko Branković finished the match with 18 points and seven boards (PIR 29), while Aleksa Uskoković scored 17 points, with five rebounds for a PIR of 25. They were followed by Nikola Đurišić with 13 points and eight assists (index 16), while Bogoljub Marković recorded his first minutes in the first team of Mega.

At Cibona, Aleksandar Aranitović scored 12 points, while Filip Bundović added 10.

Mega basketball players opened the match brilliantly. Cazalon was unstoppable, scoring eight points in less than three minutes to give his team a double-digit lead. Barać’s team maintained it without any problems, and then at the end of the first half, they increased it further to meet the break with a 21-point lead.

Very quickly, it became clear that disaster was brewing for Cibona. The local basketball players did not manage to react after returning to the floor, they even sunk further, and Mega did not lower the number of revolutions, and by the last break, increased the surplus to as many as 37 points. Barać then used the opportunity to rest key players; younger players like Bogoljub Marković got a chance, and Mega MIS routinely brought the match to an end and defeated Cibona in Zagreb in a dominant manner.

In the next round, the Mega MIS basketball players welcome Partizan Mozzart Bet, and the match is scheduled for Sunday, February 5, from 6:30 p.m. in the Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall.
