JOVANOVIC: “THE MATCH WAS INTERESTING AND EXCITING, THIS WIN MEANS A LOT TO MY YOUNG TEAM”

In the game of the 25th round of the ABA League, after another uncertain finish, Mega Mozart celebrated on the road against Zadar with 81:85 (21:18, 22:22, 11:20, 27:25). Coach Vladimir Jovanovic’s team managed to take revenge on Zadar for the defeat in the first part of the championship, as they had the advantage in most part of today’s game, and in the finish they managed to defend the victory with good energy and concentration in key moments.

At the press conference after the game, Mega’s coach Vladimir Jovanovic pointed out that this victory means a lot to his young team:

– In the announcement of the match, I mentioned that Zadar is in a good moment and that it is a quality team in both frontcourt and backcourt positions. We knew that we had a very difficult job ahead of us, considering that we played a game against Split three days ago. The first half, and I would say the whole game, we had a problem with the jump in the attack, which brought them back to the game after some of our good attacks. Before that, we had a problem with the 1 on 1 game, where their outside players often ended up with points on the hoop, and because of that, in the end, the game was even. They had a good answer to each of our good plays with a shot for three points. The match was uncertain and very interesting, in my opinion, I think we deservedly won. Congratulations to the Zadar team on a fair and correct game and I wish them good luck in the rest of the season. Congratulations to my guys as well, considering that we were in a negative series for a certain period. This means a lot to my young team in continuation of ABA League and later in our championship,

said Jovanovic.
