Mega Mozzart on Thursday against Split on the first of two road games in Croatia.

On Thursday, March 31, at 6 pm, Mega Mozzart will be a guest of the Split within the 24th ABA League match. Coach Vladimir Jovanovic’s team is expected to play two games in Croatia in five days, and before the match with Split, coach of Mega said that his team must improve the level of defense compared to previous games:

– A very demanding week awaits us, we are playing two games practically in five, where we are visiting Split and Zadar. Split is in a very good moment, they tied two victories, against Mornar at home and against Borac on the side, they definitely raised their form. In relation to the first match from Belgrade, they changed the team a lot. In addition to Jones, who was absent from the field for a long time, they added Shorter. Our primary task is to stop their very good and experienced backcourt line, where Baric, Ukic, Perkovic, Shorter, Maj Kovacevic are, their entire backcourt has very high quality. If we want to play the game in our rhythm, we will have to improve the level of defense compared to previous games,

said coach of Mega.

Mega Mozzart currently has 8 wins and 14 losses in the ABA league, while Split has a score of 5-17. Mega and Split have met 3 times so far in the regional competition with a score of 2-1 in favor of Mega. In the last match between these two teams in the 11th round of this season, Mega celebrated at home with 78:65.

– I believe that a good game with a lot of energy awaits us against Split. It is very important to impose a rhythm that suits us and to transfer energy and teamwork from training to the game. We worked well in the previous period, preparing for these two tied road games that await us in Croatia, and if we fulfill the work tasks we set before this game, I believe we can achieve a positive outcome that would mean a lot to us both in terms of results and self-confidence,

said Matkovic.
