Before the start of the tournament U18 coach of Mega Bemax Dragoljub Avramovic pointed out that the tournament is very physically demanding and that it is important that this burden to be distributed to the whole team:

– We are in a good mood welcoming Junior Euroleague Qualifying Tournament and this will be a great opportunity to see where we currently stand compared to other European teams at this age, especially since we are known as an environment that offers excellent conditions and a chance for young and talented basketball players. The tournament is very specific and physically demanding where 4 games are played in less than 3 days and it is important that this burden is distributed to the whole team. Each of our players knows their role on the team and everyone is subordinate to the team. We are aware that we are among the favorites to win this tournament, but let’s go one step at a time. The first opponent is Polish team Asseco Arka, who plays specific and fast basketball with a lot of short players. There are no easy opponents in tournaments like these and it is very important that we enter every match in the right way. With the right approach to matches, I believe the results will be good too,
