MILOJEVIC: “DESERVED WIN FOR PRIMORSKA, THEY PLAYED WITH MORE ENERGY THAN US”

Mega Bemax players started well on their away game against Koper Primorska, they had plus 10 after the first quarter, but after a few reversals the home team celebrated with 93:87 (15:25, 28:17, 25:20, 25: 25) within the 18th round of the ABA League which was played at Bonifika Arena.

At the post-match press conference, Mega Bemax coach Dejan Milojevic said that Primorska played with more energy than his team:

– Congratulations to the Primorska team on their absolutely deserved victory. They played with a lot of energy today, more than we did, and that’s why they won. They showed that they deserved to be in this position on the standings and despite the fact that a lot of players left the team, those who took over their roles played great. With this defeat, we are in a very difficult situation as far as the fight for survival is concerned. However, there is no surrender to the end. Many things were bad today. We opened the game well in the beginning, had a good game and an advantage we easily lost. After the whole second half we chased the score, we managed to get them, however, we failed to turn the game in our favor,

said Milojevic, and when asked by reporters what had happened since Mega had control of the match in her hands, Coach of Mega replied:

– We stopped playing defense, we thought it would be easy because of all these departures from Primorska, but it was not so. Probably both Olimpija and Krka thought that Primorska could be obtained without much trouble, but it could not, and that is what we felt on our skin today,

said Milojevic.
