Coach of Mega in this match because of injury will not count on Jurij Macura.

Mega Bemax coach Dejan Milojevic pointed out that a victory against the Slovenian team could be one of the decisive factors in the fight for survival in the ABA league:

– Last week, with the win against Krka, we made the first step in the fight for survival in the ABA league, and now we have the opportunity against Primorska to record the second. It is certain that an extremely difficult match awaits us. Although a few round ago head coach and couple of main players had left them, they are still an extremely dangerous team, as they proved especially by winning away game against Cedevita Olimpija. This is an extremely important match for both teams, and it is up to us to get into it as much as possible ready and concentrated. We have obviously raised the game and the confidence of the team. Against Primorska energy has to be at the highest level with aggressive defense throughout the match. If we succeed in that, I believe we have a chance for victory that could be one of the crucial in our fight for survival,

said Milojevic.

After 17 rounds of ABA League, Mega has score 4-13 while Koper Primorska recorded 10 wins. Mega defeated Krka 88:61 at home in the last round, while Koper Primorska was better than Cedevita Olimpija with an away win 69:72. So far Mega and Primorska have met once in the ABA league, when in the 7th round  Slovenian team celebrated in Hall of sports with 73:79.

Mega Bemax point guard Kendrick Perry emphasized that Mega has to play solid and team-wide throughout the 40 minutes of the game:

– The game with Primorska will be a challenging one on the road but we are up for the challenge. We have a good rhythm and confidence after our win against Krka. It’s my job to make sure these guys remain confident and make sure we play hard and stay together all 40 minutes of the game. We’ve been playing some good basketball lately so we want to see our hard work rewarded with a win that we earn.”,

said Perry.
