CARAPIC: “KRKA IS INCONVENIENT OPPONENT, WE WANT WIN IN NOVO MESTO”

On Sunday, November 18th, at 17:00, Mega Bemax will continue competition in the ABA league, when within the 8th round will play in Novo Mesto against Krka. Players of coach Dejan Milojevic will fight in the “Leon Stukelj” hall for the 7th victory in 8 matches in the season. The coach of Mega Bemax at the match against Krka will not be able to count on injured Branislav Ratkovica.

Milojevic said before the match with Krka that aggressive defense and good energy on the floor are a prerequisite for the victory against Krka:

– We expect a match against Krka on Sunday, which has a very inconvenient home ground where teams such as Partizan and Mornar have already fallen this season. The victory against Zadar and the way in which it was achieved was a great motive for us to continue to work and train even stronger. We’re not looking ahead, we’re  going match by match. Aggressive defense and good energy on the floor are preconditions for a good result, and if we succeed in imposing our rhythm, I believe that we will be able to record a new triumph in the ABA league,

Milojevic pointed out.

After 7 rounds of the ABA league, Mega Bemax is placed 2nd in the standings with 6 wins and 1 defeat, while Krka has 2 wins and 5 defeats. Mega and Krka have so far met 8 times in the ABA League with a 5-3 record for Mega. In the last match of the two teams played in the 21st round of the ABA league in the 2016/17 season, Mega won in Novo Mesto with 73:82.

Mega Bemax player Ognjen Carapic pointed out that he believes the team against Krka can continue a series of victories:

– On Sunday we play against a very inconvenient team of Krka who plays well on home court. We must maximally seriously and aggressively approach the match and impose our game on the court. If we succeed in that, I believe that we can make a new triumph in order to continue the series of victories,

said Carapic.

The match of the 8th round of the ABA league between Krka and Mega Bemax is scheduled for Sunday at 17:00 in the hall “Leona Stuklja” in Novi Mesto, with a live broadcast on TV Arena Sport.
