MILOJEVIC: “BAD LUCK FOR INJURY OF JARAMAZ, WE HAVE TO REACT IN THE RIGHT WAY”

On Monday, March 5, from 21:00, Mega Bemax continues competition in the ABA league with game in Zadar within the 21st round of the regional competition. Mega is expecting match after the break due to qualifications for the World Cup in which four Mega’s players played. The coach of Mega Bemax Dejan Milojevic because of injuries will not be able to count on Kostja Mushidi, Stefan Fundic, Mihailo Jovicic, and now, sadly, Ognjen Jaramaz joined them. Guard Mega Bemax, after winning buzzer beater against FMP and debut for the Serbian national team, was on the right path to return to great form, but at the training suffered the break of the fourth metacarpal bone of the right hand. Jaramaz was successfully operated, but he is expected to take a break of about 2 months.

Before meeting with Zadar, Dejan Milojevic pointed out that the team has to react in the right way and try to impose their rhythm:

– The match against Zadar, next to last season this season for us in the ABA League, we welcome at bad moment. We have had several injuries and now  Jaramaz broke his fist during practice. In the break due to qualifications for the World Cup we were not complete because we had four players with national teams, but we will certainly do our best to finish ABA league with victories,

said Milojevic and continued on the upcoming match:

– Zadar beat us in Mitrovica in the first part in league, so we have an additional motive. We will have to cut lines in whatever roster we play against Zadar. If, with an aggressive defense, we can impose our rhythm of the game, I believe that we have a chance for a positive outcome at the end of the match,

Milojevic said.

Mega Bemax and Zadar have so far met 9 times in the ABA League with score 6-3 for Mega. In the last meeting in the 10th round of the ABA League this season, Zadar celebrated in Sremska Mitrovica with 71:73. Mega Bemax is currently ranked 9th with a score of 7-13 while Zadar is on the 7th place on standings with 2 wins more.

Mega Bemax’s forward Vlatko Cancar stated that players are eager to play after breaks and representative :

– We expect a difficult match against the quality team of Zadar. Unfortunately, until the end of the ABA League we will play without injured Jaramaz. We will have to concentrate on the whole course of the match, we must not allow big downs in the game. We are all eager to play after this break and the representative duties. We have to play very aggressively in the defense and I believe that this could eventually be the key to victory,

Cancar pointed out.

The match of the 21st round of the ABA league between Zadar and Mega Bemax is scheduled for Monday, March 5th, from 21:00 in the “Kresimir Cosic” hall in Zadar, with a live broadcast on TV Arena Sport.
