SPASOJEVIC IN THE LAST SECOND FOR OVERTIME, NOVAK FOR THE WIN

Players of Mega Leks came up with the first win in the Mozzart Super League since in the 2nd round in Cacak win after overtime against Borac with 75:77 (25:27, 15:13, 16:14, 11:13, 8:10). In a very exciting match Spasojevic has brought an additional 5 minutes with triple in the final seconds then Novak hit a key three pointer in the last minute of overtime. Coach of Mega Leks Dejan Milojevic in this match because of injury could not count on Kostja Mushidi.

The most efficient in the ranks Mega Leks were Jaramaz with 15 and Rebic and Spasojevic both with 13 points while in Borac the best was Aleksandar Todorovic with 24 points and 19 rebounds. The next match Mega will have on Saturday 29th April at 19:00 when in Sremska Mitrovica welcoms Vrsac.

Dejan Milojevic started match with the following five: Novak, Jaramaz, Simeunovic, Lesic and Kaba. At the beginning of the match Simeunovic was in the mood, who today turned 22 years, so with his 7 points has nicely started Mega in the attack. After the lead 4:9, followed by a weaker period for which the home team took advantage 15:11. After that, Milojevic called a time-out and then Spasojevic and Rebic hit behind the line of 3 points to bring back an advantage to Mega. By the end of a quarter Rebic and Spasojevic preserved the lead of 25:27 after 10 minutes of play.

In the second quarter for a long time was played basket to  basket until three minutes before the end of the period Borac led with 34:31. After the time-out of Milojevic, Jaramaz hit layup and Rebic three so Mega led with 34:36. The first half ended with a score of 40:40.

Jaramaz opened the second half with layup and great dunk after fast break. The next few minutes is seen equal game where neither team has gained an advantage of more than 4 points. The third period ended with score 56:54.

Excellent defense Mega at the beginning of the last quarter has maintained Borac scoreless for almost 4 minutes. Kaba great dunked and then Rebic and Novak returns advantage to Mega, 56:60. However, followed by a slow period in the attack, Borac had on twenty seconds to go plus three and two free throws. Luckily for Mega, they were not precise. Rebic misses three, Jaramaz catches rebound and ball came to Spasojevic who in the last second hit corner three for an overtime.

In an additional 5 minutes, Borac had advantage 72:69, Jaramaz hit one free throw and tough layup. Novak about thirty seconds to go hit key three after which Mega managed to defend the victory.
