WEAK GAME OF MEGA IN RERUN OF LAST SEASON’S FINALS

Players of Mega Leks in a rerun of last year’s finals of the ABA league lost to Crvena zvezda mts with 96:76 (32:14, 24:17, 21:24, 19:21). Mega in the first half in the hall, “Aleksandar Nikolic” in Belgrade had big problems in defense, so Crvena zvezda, with a great shot of the game, used to come to the big lead that Mega failed to jeopardize in the remainder of the match.

The most efficient in the ranks of Mega was Marko Tejic with 19 points. Debut on this game had Jovan Novak who scored 13 points.

Milojevic started the match with five players Jaramaz, Djokovic, Zagorac, Spasojevic and Tejic. Zvezda better started the match and with three point shots took lead to 13:4 after four minutes of play. Jaramaz and Zagorac scored but Zvezda continues to shoot great, and came to the big lead after the first 10 minutes, 32:14.

In the second quarter, Tejic tied couple of shot but still a major problem was the defense, the advantage of the home team continued to grow. At half time was 56:31 with eight hit threes of home side and 78 percent for two points.

Following a weaker start of the third quarter, Mega was able to connect to several affected shots and especially in the mood was Marko Tejic who tied 10 points in this period. In the last 10 minutes teams went with 77:55.

In the last period Mega played good defense, so Zvezda first points scored after three and a half minutes. Zagorac with points from free throws downed to 77:59, but that was followed by series of Zvezda 8:0. However, Mega manages to reach the game, Novak hit a few shots, the result in the end was 96:76.

After four rounds, Mega Leks has a record of one win and three losses, and in the next round on Saturday 15th of October from 19 o’clock in Sremska Mitrovica welcomes Cedevita.
