MEGA IN FINALS OF RADIVOJE KORAC CUP!

Players of Mega Leks qualified for the third consecutive finals of Radivoje Korac Cup since thein Hall “Cair” won convincingly against Metalac Farmakom with 97:86 (22:20, 25:16, 34:24, 16:26). Mega constantly had the lead for most of the match and gained a decisive advantage in the third period when took the lead with 22 points difference and thus practically determined the winner.

Best in Mega were Danilo Nikolic with 24 points and 7 rebounds and Nikola Jankovic with 17 points and 8 rebounds.

Mega in the final of Raddivoje Korac Cup on Sunday from 9 pm waits for the winner of the duel Partizan NIS – Crvena zvezda Telekom.

Dejan Milojevic started the match with following five: Jaramaz, Luwawu-Cabarrot, Simeunovic, Nikolic and Jankovic. Excellent defense of Mega at the beginning of the match and after 5 minutes with threes from Jaramaz, Luwawu-Cabarrot and Nikolic was 13:3. Metalac was able to get back into the match and with the series of points took lead, 18:20. Nikolic with free throws and Luwawu-Cabarrot with lay-up in the last seconds took advantage for 22:20 after the, first 10 minutes.

Zagorac hit three at the start of the second quarter and then Kaba powerful dunked. Mega quickly goes to plus 15  but Metalac remained in the game with threes. Half-time score was 47:36.

In the third quarter Nikolic played excellent, hit three triples with lay-up and a good role also had a Kaba with a triple and a lay-up with contact. Mega goes to plus 22 and practically determined the winners. The result before the last 10 minutes was 81:60.

In the last quarter there was a slight relaxation in the ranks of Mega but victory has never been threatened. In the finish the chance got reserve players and Stefan Simic pointed out with some excellent defense and a dunk after a rebound in the final seconds of the game for cheer on the bench of Mega and the new, the third consecutive placement in the cup finals.
