MEGA SUPERBET HOSTS SC DERBY, AVDALOVIĆ: “A DEMANDING GAME AWAITS US”

After reaching the final of the Radivoj Korać Cup and the break that followed due to the FIBA national team windows, Mega Superbet returns to action. In the second round of the ABA League play-out phase, Mega will host SC Derby at Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall. The game is scheduled for Monday, March 9, at 19:00, and admission will be free. Complimentary tickets can be collected at the Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall ticket office from 18:00 until the start of the game.

Mega Superbet head coach Vule Avdalović shared his expectations ahead of the continuation of the regional competition:

“A very demanding game against SC Derby awaits us. It’s a team with a quality roster and players who have a lot of experience from previous ABA League seasons. We trained with a reduced number of players during the national team break and we want to restore our team chemistry as soon as possible, play a good game and try to secure an important win,” said Avdalović.

Mega Superbet player Andrej Mušicki also emphasized the importance of the upcoming matchup:

“This will be a very important and challenging game for us. After the Cup, where we performed well, our goal is to continue in the same rhythm and keep achieving good results. Even though the standings might not show it, SC Derby is a good and experienced team, and we will have to give our maximum in order to secure another win and continue the fight for the top two spots,” added Mušicki.

Due to the competition format, Mega Superbet and SC Derby have not faced each other this season. So far, they have met eight times in the ABA League, with Mega winning six of those games.
