FLYING START FOR MEGA SUPER AND A CONVINCING WIN OVER OLYMPIACOS

Mega Super Juniors opened the EuroLeague Next Gen Tournament qualifiers in Ulm in impressive fashion, defeating their Olympiacos counterparts 101–75 (27–21, 26–20, 23–20, 25–14) in the opening round. Coached by Dejan Pejić, Mega controlled the game from start to finish, steadily building their lead and sealing a more than convincing victory to move to a 1–0 record after the first day of the tournament.

It was an outstanding team performance by Mega Super, who handed out 28 assists and had as many as eight players score in double figures. Nikola Karalić led the way with 19 points and seven rebounds (performance index rating 23), while Petar Bjelica posted a double-double of 10 points and 13 rebounds (PIR 27). Vuk Danilović added 13 points, Aleksa Stiković finished with 11, and Đorđe Lilić, Benjamin Teletović, Đorđe Gnjato and Andrej Pavlović all scored 10 points apiece.

On the second day of the tournament in Ulm, Mega will play their remaining two group-stage games. They first face Manresa at 11:15, followed by a matchup with ASVEL at 18:00.
