AVDALOVIĆ: “CEDEVITA OLIMPIJA DESERVED THE WIN, WE TURN OUR FOCUS TO BUDUĆNOST”
Mega Superbet hosted Cedevita Olimpija in Round 11 of the ABA League at Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall and, after 40 minutes of battle, lost 72–90 (16:25, 21:17, 21:16, 14:32). Vule Avdalović’s team trailed after the opening 10 minutes but, with strong play on both ends of the floor, even managed to take the lead in the third quarter, entering the fourth tied. Mega held their own against the more experienced opponent until the final minutes, when the visitors from Ljubljana pulled away to secure the victory. After 10 games, Mega Superbet has a 3–7 record, while Cedevita Olimpija notched their ninth win (9–1).
Mega Superbet coach Vule Avdalović shared his thoughts at the post-game press conference:
“Congratulations to Cedevita Olimpija on a well-deserved victory. They opened and closed the game very well. Our play in between wasn’t bad, but after a poor start and that kind of finish, we didn’t have a chance to win. We now turn our attention to the game against Budućnost, which also has a very strong team, and we’ll try to give our best effort there,” Avdalović said.
In the next round of the ABA League, Mega Superbet will travel to Podgorica to face Budućnost VOLI on Friday, December 26, with tip-off scheduled for 18:00 at Morača Sports Center.
