AVDALOVIĆ: “WE HAD OUR CHANCE, BUT LACKED CONCENTRATION”

Mega Superbet suffered their first defeat in the Winline Basket Cup, held under the auspices of the VTB League, as they lost to Parma Perm 94–79 (24–21, 23–18, 23–26, 24–14) at the Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall. Vuleta Avdalović’s team stayed competitive until the final quarter, when the Russian side managed to pull away and build a decisive lead that Mega did not have the strength to overcome. After three rounds, Mega Superbet now hold a 2–1 record, the same as Parma.

Mega Superbet head coach Vule Avdalović shared his impressions after the game:

Parma deserved the win. They played great basketball, especially on offense, and we didn’t have an answer for the large number of quality players they have. We tried, and at certain moments we cut the deficit to five or six points, so we had our chance, but in those moments we lacked concentration. We had too many turnovers and, in the end, deservedly lost,” said Avdalović.

Mega Superbet will play their next Winline Basket Cup game on January 9, against CSKA Moscow, at the Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall.
