MEGA SUPERBET DEFEATS ZADAR IN THE FINAL SECONDS

Mega Superbet’s basketball team recorded an important victory in the 10th round of the ABA League, defeating Zadar 90–89 (16–20, 31–19, 15–27, 28–23) at the Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall. The players coached by Vule Avdalović played an excellent second quarter, but Zadar responded in the third, leading to a tense and uncertain final period. Mega quickly regained the lead, Zadar equalized, but the final word belonged to Avdalović’s team, which secured another valuable home win and improved its record to 3–6, with Zadar now on the same mark.

Asim Đulović delivered an outstanding performance, scoring 34 points. He was supported by Savo Drezgić with 19 points and five assists, Kayrel Luke with 16 points and five assists, and Luigi Suigo with 12 points and nine rebounds.

For Zadar, Vladimir Mihailović scored 32 points, Lovro Mazalin added 15, while Karlo Žganec and Marko Ramljak each finished with 11 points.

The first half of the opening quarter featured frequent lead changes, but the visitors finished stronger and led 20–16 after 10 minutes. Mega stayed close until the final four minutes of the first half, when they turned the game around. A fierce battle followed, but this time the finish belonged to Avdalović’s team, which took a 47–39 lead thanks to two three-pointers by Drezgić.

Mega was close to a double-digit lead early in the third period, but Zadar then went on a big run to regain the advantage. It was clear that a hard-fought battle would last until the very end at the Sports Hall, but Mega managed to pull away midway through the deciding period through Đulović and Luke. Still, in the final moments, the visitors tied the score and the game turned into a drama. The young Mega squad kept its composure and regained the lead from the free-throw line. Zadar had a chance to win, but missed in the final seconds, allowing Mega to claim a valuable victory.

Mega Superbet will play its next ABA League game on Sunday, December 21, at 12:00, against Cedevita Olimpija at the Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall.
