Aleksandar Rašić was born on March 16, 1984, in Šabac.

Over the course of a 16-year playing career, he competed in seven countries, wearing the jerseys of Borac Čačak, FMP, Efes, Dynamo Moscow, Alba Berlin, Partizan, Trabzonspor, Lietuvos Rytas, Siena, Ankara, Konyaspor, Steaua, Türk Telekom, Mega, and Cluj, where he ended his playing career in 2019. He is a three-time ABA League champion and also won league titles in Germany, Italy, and Romania.

Aleksandar Rašić began his coaching career at OKK Beograd as a member of Vuleta Avdalović’s coaching staff. At the beginning of the 2025/26 season, he joined Mega.
