BOGOLJUB MARKOVIC AND JOVANA POPOVIC AT THE NIKE HOOP SUMMIT IN PORTLAND

The traditional Nike Hoop Summit will once again bring together the greatest talents from around the world. Among them are two players from the Mega Superbet family. Bogoljub Markovic and Jovana Popovic will represent their talents to the world on April 12th this year in Portland.

Bogoljub Markovic joined Mega in 2021 and in his first season won three titles in the younger age categories. In the previous season (2023/24), he was once again the junior champion of the ABA League and Serbia, made his debut for the first team, and posted impressive numbers in the Junior EuroLeague and the domestic league.

At the start of the 2024/25 ABA League season, he was named the MVP of September and October. With the Serbian national team, he won the U18 European Championship in 2023, and in November 2024, he debuted for the senior team against Denmark in the EuroBasket 2025 qualifiers.

Jovana Popovic was born in 2007 and last year won a bronze medal with the Serbian junior national team at the European Championship. She was previously named MVP of the domestic league, where she led Mega to its first Serbian championship title. The “artists,” with Jovana in their lineup, also won the “Milan Ciga Vasojevic” Cup.

On the World Team alongside Bogoljub Markovic, there are: Ikena Alozi (Nigeria), Kiyan Anthony (Puerto Rico), Tajh Ariza (Japan), Dash Daniels (Australia), Omer Mayer (Israel), Jayon Pitt (Canada), Erik Reibe (Germany), Michael Ruzic (Croatia), Dame Sar (Italy), Tunde Jesufu (Benin), and Bojuan Zhang (China).

On the Women’s World Team, in addition to Jovana Popovic, there are: Daria Biriuk (Ukraine), Sara Cise (France), Bela Hines (Mexico), Egot Meikri (Canada), Ayla McDowell (Brazil), Denija Prawl (Canada), Einhoa Risasher (France), Safron Shiels (Australia), Lara Somfai (Australia), Olivia Vukosa (Croatia), and Nijadieng Jiek (Canada).
