CONDITIONING COACH MARKO SEKULIĆ MOVES TO BEŠIKTAŠ AFTER SIX YEARS AT MEGA MIS

Conditioning coach Marko Sekulić is leaving the ranks of Mega MIS after six years and continuing his career at Beşiktaş, where he will be under the leadership of Serbian coach Dušan Alimpijević starting this summer. He joined Mega as a conditioning coach in the summer of 2017 and has also fulfilled the same role in the Serbian national team. Now he is moving to the Istanbul-based team, which will also compete in the EuroCup in the upcoming season.

On the occasion of his departure from the club where he spent six years, Marko Sekulić stated the following:

“Out of my 15 years of professional career, these six years at Mega have undoubtedly been the most enjoyable. To avoid accidentally missing anyone in the enumeration, I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to all the coaches and members of the coaching staff I worked with, the club’s management for their trust and providing excellent working conditions, all the players who have passed through Mega during this time for their mutual communication and respect, as well as all the employees at the Mega Factory Arena who were fully dedicated to our needs. They all made me perceive working at Mega not just as a job but as a way of life, and in general, they made me see Mega as one big family. I want to believe that I have given back to Mega at least a part of what it gave me, and I am very proud of everything that has been achieved in these six years. I leave here richer with a great life experience and many great friends I made,”

said Sekulić at the farewell, who will be replaced in the position of fitness and conditiong coach of Mega MIS by his longtime associate Pavle Tasic2.

After his playing career, during which he played for Užice, Zemun, Zlatibor, Javor, Crnokosa, Varda-Višegrad, Svislajon Vršac, Napredak, Mogren-Budva, Ulcinj, and OKK Beograd, Sekulić had his first coaching engagement with Sloboda Užice. He also worked as a conditioning coach at Polifarm (Poland), PBG Basket (Poland), Hemofarm, and then in volleyball clubs Volero (Switzerland) and Alba (Romania).
